Courses

1. Two year PG program in Law: LL.M. (Two Year Course)

LL.M. Course is a post-graduate degree in Law. The program imparts the students with a specialization in multiple legal sub-streams and enables them to become professionals in the field of law and legal affairs of the country. The duration of the program is 2 years. On successful completion of the LLM course, law graduates are rewarded with career opportunities in various sectors such as Lawyers, Legal consultants, Indian Legal Services, Advisors, solicitors, Legal writers, and more. After completing an LLM, candidates who wish to pursue a career in legal research and teaching can pursue a LLD (Doctor of Law) degree.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO LL.M. COURSE:

1. The Degree of Master of Laws shall consist of two Parts- Part I and II and there will be an examination at the end of each academic year viz. LL.M. Part I Examination at the end of the First Year and LL.M. Part II Examination at the end of the Second Year.

2. A candidate who has passed the B.A.LL.B. Five Years or LL.B. Three Years Course or any other law degree examination of the State Universities of Rajasthan or an examination of some other University recognized by the Board of Management of the University as equivalent thereto securing a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate or a candidate who holds B.A.LL.B. Five Years or LL.B. Three Years Degree or who has passed any of the Post Graduate Diploma courses of University in the Faculty of Law with 55% of marks in the aggregate at the Diploma Examination and pursued a regular course of study in an affiliated college for one academic year shall be eligible for admission to the LL.M. Part I Course.

3. A candidate passing the B.A.LL.B. Five Years or LL.B. Three Year Course with a minimum of 55 % marks shall be eligible to apply for admission to LL.M. Part I Course. There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, 5% for Other Backward Class candidates and 5% for E.W.S. Candidates.

 


 

2. Three Year UG Programme in Law: LL.B.

LL.B.(3 year) is more focused towards legal learning. Subjects like Intellectual Property Rights(IPR), Cyber Laws, Moot Court, Legal Drafting are included so that the students get prepared to meet the rigorous requirements of the legal profession.

Eligibility: 45% in Graduation (40% OBC/SC/ST)

Admission shall be made on the basis of merit and in the manner prescribed by the university.

Astudent shall be eligible for admission into the first year of the LL.B. (3 year) Degree Course in Law if he/she has graduated in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination or those who are awaiting their result are also eligible to apply. Their candidature, however, shall be considered subject to their clearing the qualifying exam. The eligibility for admission will be as per the rules of affiliating body/approving body applicable.

After completion of B.A.LL.B. / LL.B. the students have the opportunity to build their career in litigation in court of law or join legal firms or competitive examinations (Judiciary) or legal advisors with banks and PSU's or do LL.M & Ph.D. and pursue their career in academics and research.

 


 

3. Five Year Integrated UG Programme in Law: B.A.LL.B.

When a student opts for this course, a student fasttracks his/her entry into the legal profession by one full year. This dual degree course enables students to gain a graduate degree in Arts as well as a graduate degree in Law simultaneously over the duration of the course.

The 5- year B.A.LL.B. Integrated Programme is structured comprehensively with subjects of B.A. as well as LL.B. This integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law programme provides a deep insight into the historical perspective of development of law, political factors influencing policies culminating into law and the intricate relationship between legislation and social problems.

B.A.LL.B has been planned in compliance with the developing and changing nature of socioeconomic conditions of the society. Moreover this course addresses the core issues and contemporary concern in a pragmatic way. The best element of it is to create an ambience at an early stage in a consolidated manner.

Eligibility: 50% in 10+2 (45% for SC/ST)

Admission shall be made on the basis of merit and in the manner prescribed by the university.

Fees: Candidates on being provisionally admitted to the First Semester of Five Year B.A.LL.B. Degree Course, shall pay a total semester fee of Rs. 21000/- (Tuition Rs. 20000, Admission Rs. 500, Library Rs. 500) excluding university fee & examination fee.
